KICK-THAI BOXING

Modern kickboxing and Muay Thai, stretching exercises for improved flexibility, combined with cardio and HIIT training elements, offer more than just positive effects on the cardiovascular system. The training boosts calorie expenditure, which also benefits weight management. Working with a partner, technique training on focus mitts and the heavy bag, as well as controlled sparring (headgear, mouthguard, leg protection, controlled intensity) ensure fun, balanced technique, and a physically demanding workout. Newcomers are, of course, always welcome!

MIXED MARTIAL ARTS

 


Mixed Martial Arts, or MMA for short, is a modern form of full-contact combat sport. MMA gained popularity through the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) competitions of the early 1990s, which incorporated techniques from various martial arts.

The athletes utilize the punching and kicking techniques of boxing and kickboxing. They also incorporate grappling ground fighting techniques, as well as throws from wrestling and judo.

At the Rough Sport Center, this fascinating and challenging sport can be practiced by everyone from beginners to advanced students, adapted to their individual requirements in the corresponding training sessions for kickboxing/Thai boxing and grappling!


 

BJJ BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU


Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is one of the most effective martial arts in the world. BJJ had its breakthrough at the first Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) events when Brazilian Royce Gracie shocked the entire martial arts world and dominantly defeated his opponents in virtually ruleless full-contact combat.

The focus of BJJ is on ground fighting, but throwing techniques from a standing position (similar to Judo) are also taught.

The demanding technical training and challenging sparring sessions train both body and mind.

 


 

GRAPPLING 


Grappling is ground fighting similar to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. It is practiced without the traditional gi, in lighter sportswear. Due to its realistic training and practical application in Mixed Martial Arts, grappling is considered one of the most effective combat sports in the world.

 


 

LADIES' KICKBOXING

Ladies' kickboxing allows our female athletes to familiarize themselves with the sport of kickboxing in a protected environment.

There is no competition and training takes place without pressure.

In our training, we place great emphasis on clean technique and good basic training.

Training with a partner on the pads or working on the punching bag ensures excellent physical condition.


 


 

FITNESS BOXING

The name says it all!

The focus of this training session is on fitness!

Training is done with a partner using focus mitts or a punching bag.

Further elements of functional fitness are incorporated into the training.

Since there is no sparring or competition in fitness boxing, there is no risk of serious injuries or "black eyes".

   

 

SELF-DEFENSE FOR CHILDREN AGED 5 AND UP

Whether it's bullying in the schoolyard or scuffles on the way to school, self-assertion plays a crucial role for children today. It's important that children learn to set boundaries for themselves and to stand up for them. At the same time, their sense of respectful interaction should be cultivated and developed.

Other benefits of self-defense for children:

  • Children learn to say a firm "no".
  • to display a confident demeanor
  • a meaningful break from everyday school life

At the Rough Sport Center, children aged 5 and over can train in kickboxing and jiu-jitsu in a child-friendly manner with trained supervision.

FUNCTIONAL FITNESS

Functional fitness is a training method that combines various exercises to increase strength, flexibility, speed, dexterity, balance, coordination, and accuracy.

The training is suitable for women and men, younger and older people, as well as beginners and advanced participants.

At the Rough Sport Center, we provide our members with an extensive range of equipment including state-of-the-art plate-loaded machines, as well as a large free weights area with rigs, racks, sprint track, barbells, and much more.
